If you want to bring your blog to the next level you need to make the most out of your time online.  When I sit down at my desk I know exactly what I’m going to do over the next 5 hours. I have to or I waste more time everyday then you can imagine. Who knows, maybe your just like me and you’re wasting your time too.
My first piece of advice is related to your e-mails. Under no circumstances can you skip an e-mail and come back to it later. You have to deal with the matter immediately and get it done and out of your way. If it’s a blog comment, or something else that needs your attention, do not procrastinate you must do the task and move forward.

Set Blocks of Time

To make the most out of your day you have to start allocating specific hours within the day to certain tasks. I have many blacks throughout any given day. To give you an idea of what my mornings look like this is how it goes.

8:00am – 9:30am

Check e-mails and replay to all comments including replies on both Blog Engageand Guest Blogging articles. This is a very important element to relationship building. I take as much time as I need to, I view every e-mail and engage every chance I get.

9:30am – 11:00am

Blog commenting and Forum Marketing will be done during this time slot. This includes only new blog comments, not replies or guest posts. This must be new and unique blog comments. During this time I will also create some posts in my favorite webmaster forums and at the same time reply to new posts within my target market audience.  I’ve always been a huge fan of forum marketing, some don’t enjoy it but it’s one of the activities I enjoy the most. I have a nice signature link and my hope is other bloggers will see it and join up at Blog Engage.

11:00am – 12:00am

Finally my e-mails are done, I’ve replied to all my comments and interacted with my blogging friends, it’s now time to produce some blog content of my own. This is the time slow where I start writing content for the Blog Engage Blog. I have contests to host and spotlights to write, it’s actually very demanding and requires a lot of my attention.
I do the same type of time management for the afternoon. It’s normally guest blogging, blog comments and social engagement. I spend a good 4 – 6 hours a day social networking and sharing other blogging content. I follow the articles submitted to Blog Engage, I comment, Tweet, Like, and share on all my favorite social networks.

Feedback and Discussions

So what do you do to manage your time better? Do you designate specific time of the day to accomplish certain tasks? I would love to hear how you manage your own time. I know it’s a long day and it feels like you will never get caught up but you can, you just have to manage your time better.
